How It Started
NostalgiaMask was born in 2020 out of a desire to bring a little whimsy to a dark time. What started as custom face masks featuring beloved 80s icons like Strawberry Shortcake and Transformers quickly grew into a broader passion for celebrating the pop culture that raised us.
As the world opened back up, so did our vision. We expanded into a full boutique experience, offering custom shirts, hand-poured candles, glassware, holiday ornaments, and bespoke accessories like fans and umbrellas.
In 2024, our focus took a meaningful turn homeward as we began honoring the rich history of the forgotten Youngstown City Schools. By 2026, NostalgiaMask embraced a fully local lens, officially stepping out to vend for the first time at the 4th Annual All City Alumni Picnic for Youngstown Public and Parochial High Schools in August. Today, we continue our mission to celebrate the past, the culture, and the community that shaped us.
